Detroit Dodge cruise pitchman for a wild ride

"Fast N 'Loud" star Richard Rawlings believes that the introduction of Hellcat engine represents the rebirth of an era where people have fun in their cars.

Rawlings, who has been a pitchman Dodge active since 2014 in a series of ads, is part of Dodge plans to position itself as a performance brand. Discovery Channel program is among high-the highest score on television among men between 25-54.

Olivier Francois, global marketing director Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, has said in the past that there is a "large cross between the Dodge brand and the public Rawlings."

Rawlings was a special guest Wednesday night during Roadkill Nights "Powered by Dodge" event outside the Pontiac Silverdome in suburban Detroit. The thrill rides wild parties including the Challenger and Charger together with the Hellcats SRT Viper, smoked drag and draw Hellcat engine the fastest Dodge.

The event, attended by some 10,000 people, attracted a diverse crowd of all ages.

While shows like this are wonderful for attendees, the Dodge had more fun in mind. Events like these get the mark on the radar of people, which is especially important this week as more than a million muscle and classic cars enthusiasts descend on Detroit for the annual Woodward Dream Cruise on Saturday.

Rawlings ran his custom 1967 Dodge Dart that is fortified with souped Hellcat engine. Rawlings, who was also filming footage for a January episode of Fast N 'Loud, spoke briefly with reporter Vince Bond Jr. on Wednesday on the muscle-car Dodge and advertising culture.
