German revenge: the German government accused of cheating exhaust Fiat

Reuters quoted German government documents which have seen that the German government on Wednesday sent a letter to the European Commission and the Italian Ministry of Communications, Italy and the United States accused the joint venture Fiat Chrysler illegal devices installed on some models to operate the exhaust gas test results.
German authorities test showed that some models of Fiat exhaust gas treatment system will automatically turn off after the engine starts 22 minutes, but the official emissions test typically lasts only about 20 minutes.
According to the German government documents, the Italian authorities denied the allegations, saying that their test results ruled out the possibility of Fiat illegal devices installed in the vehicle, and refused to take measures against the company.
The German government therefore urges the European Commission in consultation with the Italian authorities to resolve the emission problem.
